About

I'm Tee. I burned out and lost my cycle at 35.

I built a life that asked me to perform. I performed well — until my body said no. The thing I most needed during those months was honest information about what was happening inside me. What I found instead was a market selling certainty it didn't have.

So I started reading. I went to the actual papers — Lara Briden, the Endocrine Society guidelines, the Loucks research, the Schmalenberger HRV studies. I learned what the four phases of my cycle do, what the science genuinely supports, and what's been overclaimed by an industry that profits from women feeling broken.

Four Quarters Method is the guide I wish I'd had. If your cycle has gone quiet from burnout, overtraining, or simply too much for too long — you're exactly who this is for.

What happens across the four phases

The map you should have been given at fifteen

Menstrual

The body is doing significant work. Rest is not indulgent here.

Follicular

Estrogen rises. Demanding work, harder workouts, new challenges — this is your window.

Ovulatory

Estrogen peaks. Most social, confident, energetic.

Luteal

Progesterone rises. HRV drops. Demanding the same output you managed in follicular will only raise cortisol.

Tracking your cycle alongside your energy gives you a map. Don't make it a rigid schedule. But once you can see the patterns, you can stop blaming yourself for the hard weeks.

Burnout x Cycle Workbook.png

Burnout X Cycle Workbook

When your period disappears, your body is talking. Here's how to listen.

Chronic stress, undereating, overtraining, or burnout can stop your cycle entirely. The medical name for it is functional hypothalamic amenorrhea — and it isn't a personal failing. Your body has made an intelligent, protective decision.

The way back isn't dramatic: more food, gentler movement, deeper rest, and the willingness to look honestly at what you've been carrying.

Most cycles return within three to twelve months once the conditions that caused the pause are addressed.

We've written the most thorough, gentle, evidence-cited guide to this topic that we know how to write.
